Rene Marie Russo is an American film actress and former supermodel. Her elegant beauty and her accomplishments in the world of film demonstrate her talent as an actor. In the late 1970s, she began her modeling career and quickly established herself as one of the top actors in the industry. From the 80s onwards, she began taking acting classes, and was a theater student before appearing on stages in Los Angeles. The year 1987 saw Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell in the ABC drama Sable. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest the following year with Major League, her debut film. She began her career as an amateur fighter participating in regional competitions before signing to Invicta Fighting Championships and later joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Due to her successes both inside and beyond the octagon, Namajunas has been known as a common name since joining UFC. Namajunas is an Lithuanian born American born June 29th 1991 at Milwaukee Wisconsin. Growing up, Rose was involved in athletics like basketball as well as kickboxing. At 18 years old she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships where she took two wins via submission. Dana White took notice of her performance and had her accepted into the strawweight division of UFC in December 2014 when Rose was barely 22.
